Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 review

“Bridgestone Turanza Allseason 6 Hey all, just wanted to share my first impressions after putting a couple thousand kilometers on these tyres. This is actually my first time trying a premium set, so I’m still pretty new to all this. They turned out to be a bit louder than I expected. I thought they’d be quieter than my old budget summer tyres, but around 140 km/h there’s this noticeable hum. Makes me wonder if the fitting was done properly. That said, the grip is on another level compared to what I’m used to. Especially in the wet, the difference is night and day. I’ve never felt this much control before, and it honestly makes the car feel a lot safer to drive. Comfort-wise, I can’t say they’re any better than the budget ones, but the confidence they give me more than makes up for it. Handling feels sharper and more responsive, which is a nice bonus, though keep in mind I’m driving a 2018 Nissan Qashqai, not a sports car. Fuel economy has also improved a bit, dropping from 5.7L/100km to 5.2L/100km. Overall, they’re louder than I expected, but the grip, safety, and handling improvements really make me glad I finally tried a premium tyre.”

For my use, I had already decided on the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 since a summer biased all season tire suits well my needs I had not seriously considered the Hankook iON FlexClimate SUV, mainly because it is normally noticeably more expensive. However, I have now found a deal where the Hankook is actually slightly cheaper than the Bridgestone. The Hankook’s available test results look excellent, but there is still relatively little evidence: only three professional tests, one of them commissioned by Hankook, plus a limited number of owner reviews. None of those tests was carried out in my exact SUV size. In this size, the Hankook also has an EU rolling-resistance rating of B, while the Bridgestone is rated C, although test results in another size showed the Bridgestone having lower measured rolling resistance. Would you play it safe and choose the proven Bridgestone, or take a chance on the newer Hankook given its strong early results, better label in this specific size and slightly lower price? “I have Turanza AS6 for two years and ~24k km. I quite like them. Maybe the winter performance is not extraordinary, but good enough. Wear is surprisingly low so far. Comfort is average.”

“I just bought 4 of the Bridgestone Turanza AS6 from Kwikfit cause they had a decent deal on for my Kia Sportage Hybrid GT Line S. With 4 wheel alignment was £620 and i have to say not only very impressed with the tyres and how the car handles but with kwik fits service”
