“Major efficiency drop w new Bridgestone Weatherpeaks I recently replaced my worn out stock tires (the OEM low rolling resistant EV friendly ones) on my ‘22 Bolt EV 2LT with Bridgestone Weatherpeak 215/50R17’s mainly due to a sale at Costco Tires. I wanted the snowpeak rating as winter is upon us. However, my efficiency dropped dramatically since, going from an average of 4.5 miles per KWh (even in the dead of winter averaging 30 degrees F) to around 3.1 miles, often even lower when it gets really cold; was even low as 2.9 miles per KWh last week. “Bridgestone Turanza quiettrack vs Weatherpeak impression This is something that i googled recently but with no to little results. I used to ride on quiettrack but chose the Weatherpeak for the new set. It’s been less than a week but below is my impression. Weatherpeak is tad bit softer and absorbs the bumps better but in the expense of that pleasant firm, gliding feel of the quiettrack. Quiettrack is more direct and has better feedback. Quiettrack might be subtly more loud, but i don’t notice too much difference. Here is the interesting part. On a rainy day, wet surfaces and especially on asphalts, weatherpeak feels even softer and stickier. It gets you somewhat of a confidence on slippery roads. But again i do miss the firmer, gliding feel of quettrack. I think both are good tires, and i don’t regret the switch. If you are someone who has to have good feedback on touring tires, quiettrack prb is a better choice, but i can see one will argue weatherpeak is the well-rounded tire of the two. Other side note, quiettrack is a bit more expensive, but is also rated for 10k more mile use. Tires are usually due exchange by 5-6yrs, and i thought i couldn’t use that all 80k miles, so went with the 70k mile rated tire. Additionally, one of my quiettrack became laterally out of round, so it had to be replaced early and i wanted to give weatherpeak a try.”

“Bridgestone Weatherpeaks on a stock 18' Outback. Love them already I'm writing this because I haven't seen a review of the tires on my car yet..and I figure why not. I'll update after I've driven in heavy snows..... I've driven about 200 miles on my new Weatherpeaks on my stock Subaru Outback. Unfortunately I missed a heavy snow event (tires took a long time to ship). But today was heavy rain all day and 40-50 F. I was shocked with how good the tires performed in the downpour. On very wet roads with massive puddles, the Weatherpeaks felt like my old tires did on completely dry roads. (With that said, my old tires didn't need to be replaced quite yet. They had some life left, but with winter coming up I felt it was a good time to get some new ones....) Grip was fantastic. No slipping at all. Even when I hit really large puddles at speed I didn't hydroplane.. definitely would have with the Duelers. .. The tires do feel slightly "softer" in the turns when its dry than the stock tires (Dueler HP's) but they still feel great...and are a much smoother and quieter ride overall. Even on dry roads I feel like the car has better control. I haven't really been keeping track of MPG yet, but nothing that has caught my attention yet.”

“Bridgestone Weatherpeak Tread Wear I got 4 weatherpeak tires brand new in august of this year. I have driven 15,000+ miles with them already (my car is my job) and I love them. But my tires are at a 5/32nds all the way around , even with rotating every 5,000 miles. I worked at Firestone when I got these tires , and I worked as a mechanic for 2 years I know how to maintain tires. What is causing them to wear so quickly? I do the occasional gravel travel , but out of the 15,000 miles I’ve driven only about 100 miles were gravel. Could anyone shed some light on this? This is a “60,000” mile tire right? More like a 25,000 mile tire.”

“Bridgestone Weatherpeak Long-term review I've had these tires for a year now, and they've truly disappointed me. I live in the Philadelphia area, so I decided on "3peak mountain" tires. Sometimes we can have a completely dry winter, and sometimes we can have a very snowy one. As for fuel efficiency, it has a positive point. I imagine that because it is high in silica (the main component of winter tires and efficient tires), it helps a lot and I think they have a rolling resistance similar to the Michelin Primacy (I think that in snow they soften a lot and are not efficient, but that's okay). So, as tire performance in winter conditions, they're really very good. No complaints! The problem comes in the summer or on wet, cool days. Accelerating and braking is a nightmare. They have poor traction on dry roads in the summer and very poor traction on wet roads. Plus, they've worn much faster than expected. Only 25,000 miles and they're already at 5/32 (they comes with 70k miles warranty but you cannot do a claim before 2/32). In short, I'd say this is a winter tire promoted by Bridgestone as "all-season." But I think isn't! Next tires? Probably Michelin or Vredestein Edit; I successfully filed a claim (THANKS COSTCO) but also as September of 2025, Costco decided to stop selling this garbage tires Read more”

“Bridgestone WeatherPeak - 2nd Gen Prius - 1k mile review Snow : Dramatically better traction, specifically when driving through parking lots that were plowed, but now there's 2-4 inches of loose snow you have to go through. Just driving out of the parking lot after installation I had way way better grip. It's like going from 30% grip to 80% grip. I'm honestly kind of shocked at how much better it is. That seems to be what the 3Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol is for - improved snow traction. Ice : It's hard to tell if they're better or not. I would guess they're a little more grippy than my previous tires but it's not the dramatic improvement. Ice-packed snow at stop signs still had me sliding. Sheer ice at an intersection still had me sliding. Mpg : The mpg rating says I've lost a few...but I'm not sure how accurate that is as new tires are physically larger than worn tires by a few mm. My old tires would be around 43mpg in the winter, these are saying 40-43 depending on the day. Noise : 30% of the time: quiet 40% of the time: old school average tire hum 30% of the time: they make a kind of annoying noise, it's not loud, but it is a bit annoying. Overall : The improved snow traction is amazing. Living in Minnesota I will never put a tire without the 3Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol on a car I own again...unless I move to florida lol. It is a huge improvement and the small drawbacks are more than worth it. Read more”
