“The Bridgestone Turanza T005 UHP Summer tires suck My BMW i4 e40 has 8k miles on it. I usually never get flats, but in the past 8 months I have almost been stranded 3 times by flats, and I have had to replace two of tires because they were completely worn. These Bridgestone Turanza T005 UHP Summer tires are terrible. I've been replacing the worn tires with run-flats, but probably time to move to a different brand and all-season tire.”

“I drove my friend’s Leon Cupra fitted with these Turanza T005 18” last summer to Croatia. Rountrip plus some local driving, all in all 2k km, the tyres were totally okay driving on highways and local roads. Not noisy. Good tyres for sure.”

I’ve always just assumed that All Season tyres are going to be better for driving in wet conditions than the equivalent summer tyre, but now I’m confused. See these Falken tyres for example: Falken Sincera SN 110 - EU Wet Grip class A. “Falken Euroall Season AS210 vs Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 My mum drives an old VW Golf and needs new tyres for her car. She regularly does motorway trips and wants four tyres that will last. Two tyres that are within her budget (£300) with fitting included are the Falken Euroall Season AS210 and the Hankook Kinergy Eco 2. I'm leaning toward the Hankook just because of the brand recognition but the Falken is an all season tyre whereas the Hankook is only a summer tyre. Does this matter? The Hankook also has better fuel economy and wet braking in when I look at the EU chart but is that cancelled out by the fact it is a summer tyre and not a winter one? How much should I give to the EU rating?”
