General Grabber AT3 vs Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 — Compared (September 2026)

“How long have I got? Grabber at3s, plenty of tread but I’m seeing some cracks forming. Are these something I need to be concerned about imminently or am I safe to continue driving for a few more months?”

“Tyre Tear Switched fulltime about 6 months ago to these General Grabber AT3 (manufacture 2021) that I had as spares and recently noticed this tear on the surface. Not sure if it's from road debris or a bottle, but wondering what it means for the tyre integrity. Done about 7,000 kms in these”

“I have ran the cooper at3 and they are great for a mostly highway tire. I just put the grabber a/tx on but don't have many miles on them yet, went with then because they are more aggressive than the at3 but not as heavy and crazy like my previous st maxx. I have no experience with falken. For what you need it if you're tires the AT3s will be good, they are not loud. My new generals have a bit more noise.”

“AT3’s I live off of 10 miles of gravel road before I hit pavement , these tires have held up the best so far , 12k on them and are holding up good 👍”

“Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 Snow performance. I'm currently running Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015's on my 2013 Subaru XV (WIP) and I live in a semi snowy area and also work in the mountains on construction sites in Japan. My co-workers keep telling me I need dedicated studless (Winter) tires but I had zero Issue with my current tires last year. I got a little stressed out and paranoid about it today when they mentioned it again, yet they have all had slippage on snow with their dedicated tires yet I had zero. Am I over thinking things? My co-workers are asses to be honest, but anyway I've attached some photos of the sort of conditions I drove in with zero trouble, yet they had slippage coming up the hill into the jobsite.”

“GEOLANDAR A/T G015 Anyone running these on 17" rims, stock or other? I have Enkei M52 rims, 17x7.5 and 45mm offset. What size fits without rubbing? 215/60R17 looks to be the closest, the only other size close is 225/65R17 which I think will be too big without a lift. I am open to other suggestions for off-road capable tires that will mainly be used on-road. K02 is out because they don't fit without rubbing, and I plan to add flaps at some point and do not want to lift the vehicle or get different rims.”

“Changing tires (General Grabber AT3 vs Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015) Halloo I am about to pick my RR next month from the dealer and I am thinking if it is a good idea to change tires. Here is the context: I am buying the RR because I always wanted to drive a truck and I love American cars in general (I also have Mustang s197 V8). In fact I want to switch from Wrangler Sahara, which is a great car BTW, however after 4 years and only 20.000 miles I know I miss more comfort. The rest of my family even more ;-) 95% of my trips is on reagular roads, city cruising. Sometimes some rural paths (no heavy offroading). My Wrangler came with Duelers, which I replaced with Yokohama A/T G015. The difference was night and day as far as wet and cold. Here in POLAND we have two seasons: it is either hot and wet or cold and wet. Winter in my area is pretty light, however I go to the mountains once a year. So the question is: As I do not know how General Grabber AT3 works, but I trust Yokohoma G015, is the change the tires worth it?”

“Anyone here running Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 G018's? Any complaints or regrets (road noise, balancing issues, etc.), specifically in SL load? Currently have the Geolandar A/T G015's on my 4th gen and am considering the A/T4's next. All the real feedback (non-commercial reviews) I've been able find on here and other forums seem to be pretty old and mostly by people without a ton of miles on them. My use case is about 90% on road with the remaining 10% on mild to moderate trails. Not a rock crawler and never will be. The G015's in SL load have been pretty perfect but I've been thinking about changing to the A/T4's next for slightly better off road performance. Main concern (aside from weight, which is why I'm looking to stay with SL instead of C) is wet pavement safety since I drive my young kids pretty much daily. I only have a roof rack, so not too much added weight.”
